Pidato,

Our Environment

Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

The honorable all Presidents

The honorable all Prime Ministers

The honorable all audiences

In this occasion I would like to deliver my speech with the title “Our Enviroment”.

First of all, let us praise and thank the presence of Allah Almighty, for the abundance of grace and the joy of all of us can still gather in this place without any barriers at all and in good health. Not forgetting the salawat and greetings we pour out to the Prophet Muhammad saw.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, on this golden opportunity, I would like to deliver a speech about "our environment".  The speech that I will deliver is a complaint of my heart towards the environment which is getting more and more polluted. Hopefully in the moment of the environmental day which falls on today, I would like to invite all my friends to protect the environment that has been protecting us.

Whether we realize it or not, we live in this world depending on the environment, we drink water that comes from our environment, we breathe air that comes from our environment, we eat food that comes from living and grown food sources from our environment. The environment we live in has a big impact on our lives as if the environment means our life.  Therefore, good or bad environment will directly affect the pros and cons of our lives in particular.

In the past few years, of course we have experienced it ourselves when life was green because there are still many trees in our environment.  But look now, the trees have been reduced and almost gone.  The greenness of our life is replaced with a plume of Carbon Monxida which cannot be converted into oxygen because the trees are not there. The coolness of the air that used to be familiar to our noses is now replaced by the stench of pollution from modernization which is not friendly to the environment.

In the past few years, of course we have experienced it ourselves when every step we take, looks clean without any trash that spoils our eyes. But take a step now, the land that was once clean and fertile is now covered with rotten rubbish that is like a friend on every trip.  Even the fertility that was once relied on is now an old legend that has not been ignored.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I am sure those experiences have been experienced by everyone here.  Be aware, that we are all the causes of independence.  If we continue to ignore it, the calamities we never imagined will surely come to mind.

So what must we do to improve our environment?  I am standing here not only to describe the sad-critical condition of our environment, I personally also want to invite us to take some actions that are actually small and easy for us to do.

Starting with sorting waste and throwing it where it should be, reducing the use of motorized vehicles and saving electricity and planting trees as an investment in the life of our next children and grandchildren.

Let us build these things from now on.  Those little things are big investments for future generations. Love our environment as much as we love our life and future.  Actually that's what I want to say. The speeches I deliver is nothing compared to our next actions. Thank you very much for your attention, i apologize if there is a word wrong.

Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
